I love candy. We have a “candy tax” in our home. Now that our kids are old enough to notice if any Halloween candy has been taken, we charge candy tax. We do the same for parades. 😉
I think this is my new favorite image. It’s totally different than what I had in mind when I sat down to draw. But I can’t help it…for me, it’s ALL about the candy!

For all of you sending your kiddos back to school soon, here’s a FUNNY and very sarcastic blog post.
Jen Hatmaker is one of my favorite authors. I feel like she takes exactly what I’m thinking/feeling and puts it into writing. This is me right now: Worst End of Summer Mom Ever: A Sequel
It’s from 2013, but hits home for me. Right now.
We are in our countdown of our last week of summer break. I am dying to have more time to myself to create/draw more. So happy to read that I’m not the only one who has thoughts like this. I love my children dearly, but I’m going through a really selfish streak right now as I’m trying to get organized for a clear stamp release. Can you relate? I’m not sure how I homeschooled for 4 years….only by the grace of God!
Read it for a chuckle…I’m making my husband read it when he gets home. 😉
Ps: If you are still looking for ideas to fill the last bits of summer, here’s a cool one I just came across:
I’m commissioning my boys to create these for me.
